Sitting in a chair and standing in a pulpit
are very, very different experiences
I’m no Buddhist, not in any disciplined sense though Buddhist scriptures and methods are a part of Nancy and my spiritual practice. But saying that the talks listed here are “sermons” somehow takes away from their tone and intent.
Listed in the margin are written summaries of messages shared with our independent ministry,The Faithspring Community, in Carson City, Nevada and at The Gathering, our home church’s Sunday evening service in Forest Grove.
We love the time we spend with these spiritual communities. The dozen or so folks that meet Saturday nights twice a month in Nevada, and the more than twenty individuals that used to meet every Sunday night in Oregon, say that they always come away with something new.
